FK-KMK UGM. The vision that the Faculty of Medicine, Public Health, and Nursing is trying to realize is to become a world-class faculty that is innovative and superior and always serves the interests of the nation and humanity imbued with the nation’s cultural values based on Pancasila.

To achieve this, one of the efforts made is to visit universities abroad that are considered to have excellence in certain fields. One of the visits was made to the University of Zurich (UZH) in Switzerland on 2 November 2023, represented by the Dean of FK-KMK UGM, Prof. dr. Yodi Mahendradhata, M.Sc., Ph.D., FRSPH.

Not only FK-KMK UGM, the visit was also carried out together with other faculties at UGM led by the Rector of UGM, Prof. dr. Ova Emilia, M.Med.Ed., Sp.OG (K)., Ph.D.

The visit led by the UGM Rector aims to initiate educational and research collaborations. One Health is one of the topics of cooperation that will be further developed in line with the development of the One Health Institute at UZH and UGM’s leadership in the Indonesia One Health University Network (INDOHUN) and as the Executive Board of Southeast Asia One Health University Network (SEAOHUN).

The meeting further explored potential programs between the two universities such as staff and student mobility, joint research, and joint programs. The visit to UZH was welcomed by the President of UZH, Prof. Dr. Michael Schaepman, and several other UZH leaders and faculty members, and this was the end of a series of visits by the UGM Rector and his entourage to Europe.
