FK-KMK UGM. Faculty of Medicine, Public Health, and Nursing (FK-KMK) UGM received a visit from Prof. Benjamin Gregg from the University of Texas Austin on Thursday (6/7) at the Tahir Foundation Building FK-KMK UGM.

Dean of FK-KMK, dr. Yodi Mahendradhata, M.Sc., Ph.D., FRSPH was present to welcome Prof. Gregg on the visit. He said that currently FK-KMK is developing an Interprofessional Education program for students. “The process is quite difficult and complex, but it is a challenge to create a good Interprofessional Education program,” he explained. Apart from discussing the program, in this meeting the two parties will also discuss the development of bioethics at UGM and the collaboration that will be carried out.

Prof. Gregg said that previously UGM and UT had built a good personal relationship in the field of bioethics. The Bioethics Centers of the two universities have also held several meetings to discuss cooperation.

Collaboration will be carried out in the fields of education and research. “In education, we will build a curriculum for undergraduate students and resident students related to the humanist aspect of bioethics. Meanwhile in research collaboration, we will see how bioethics views Indonesia’s various conditions and what needs to be done about these conditions,” explained Prof. Gregg. (Reporter: Nirwana.
