FK-KMK UGM Held Summer Course 2022

FK-KMK UGM. Faculty of Medicine, Public Health, and Nursing UGM held the 7th Summer Course in collaboration with the Faculty of Dentistry and the Faculty of Pharmacy UGM. Brought “Environmental Sustainability for Healthier & Happier Life”, Summer Course 2022 Opening Ceremony is held on Monday (31/10) in the Auditorium of FK-KMK UGM.

Based on dr. Gunadi, Ph.D., Sp.BA said, climate change is a big issue that needs more attention from all stakeholders. “Finally, Summer Course can be held offline so we can see the impact of climate change and how it’s handled without any media,” he added.

drg. Ivan Arie Wahyudi, M.Kes., Ph.D as Summer Course 2022 Panel 5 coordinator is also presented to give opening remarks. “I hope all participants enjoy joining all activities in Summer Course 2022,” he said.

Dr. apt. Nanang Munif Yasin, S.Si., M.Pharm as Vice Dean of Academic and Student Affairs Faculty of Pharmacy UGM is also told that he is very happy that FK-KMK UGM bring back Summer Course this year. “Summer Course has become a media to make multi discipline collaboration for all participants,” he said.

Even though he can’t attend in person, Dean of FK-KMK UGM, dr. Yodi Mahendradhata, M.Sc., Ph.D., FRSPH still joined to greet all Summer Course 2022 participants through video. He said that even though the pandemic is over, health problems don’t just stop there, one of the big problems is climate change. “Summer Course 2022 is designed as a preparation for the impact of climate change,” he added.

Inter professional education and globalization are mutually correlated and there is no barrier between each profession and country in holistic health problem management. Healthcare professionals including doctors, dentists, pharmacists, nurses, nutritionists, and public health experts are set up to deal with complex healthcare systems to prosper patients and communities.
