Messages from the Organizing Committee
Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of the entire organizing committee, I would like to express our warmest regards to all colleagues. It is our honor to organize the 7th International Society of Pediatric Oncology (SIOP) Asia Congress, which will be held on April 21-24, 2012 in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. A number of scientific sessions, which accommodate the clinical, pathological, biological, and nursing aspects of various childhood cancers, will be offered. We would like to inform you that at the same time, the International Confederation of Childhood Cancer Parents Organization (ICCCPO) will conduct the 2nd ICCCPO Regional Asia Meeting. This congress, therefore, will be one of the best opportunities for all practitioners in the field of pediatric oncology, which include not only clinicians, but also pathologists, molecular biologists, nurses, and cancer survivors, to share their experiences.

We also hope that your proposed visit to Yogyakarta will be one of your unforgettable moments. In the aspect of tourism, Yogyakarta has widely been known as the second most visited province after Bali, as this province has a wide variety of world-class heritages, such as Sultan’s palace, Taman Sari water castle, and Prambanan temple. Yogyakarta is also acknowledged as the center of Javanese culture. In addition, Borobudur temple, the biggest Buddhist temple in the world, is located in a short distance, while the well-known island of Bali can be reached within an hour by air, from Yogyakarta.
