VUMC Offer Qualitative Studi for FK-KMK UGM Students

FK-KMK UGM. Vrije Universiteit Medical Centre (VUMC) once again contributed to the series of Global Health Indonesia (GHI) at the Faculty of Medicine, Public Health, and Nursing, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FK-KMK UGM) through the Student Exchange Program promotion at Amsterdam University Medical Center (VUMC) (April, 22). The event took place at the Tahir Foundation Auditorium and was attended by 21 students.

Mariette Didderich, the Director of International Relations at VUMC, commenced her presentation by offering a qualitative research collaboration program to the students.

“This program is designed to enable you (students) to understand the central elements of qualitative research in the field of health and healthcare, both theoretically and practically,” she stated.

Moreover, this exchange program will take place from September 2024 to February 2025, equivalent to one semester.

“The hope is not only for VUMC students to exchange to UGM, but also for mutual exchanges to achieve scholarly collaboration,” added Marianne van Elteren, the Coordinator of the Global Health Indonesia minor.

She also added that this program is a continuation of the collaboration between VUMC and UGM. Furthermore, Marianne expressed her pride in the achievement of the GHI 2024 Certificate obtained through this cooperation last year.

Likewise, this program is also committed to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This commitment will be realized through thematic studies and/or research between FK-KMK UGM and VUMC aimed at fulfilling the knowledge needs in the health sector. This is a manifestation of SDGs under Goal 17, which is Partnership for the Goals. The program also encompasses SDG 3 Good Health and Well-being and SDG 4 Quality Education.
