FK-KMK UGM. The Nursing Study Program of the Faculty of Medicine, Public Health, and Nursing (FK-KMK) Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) has received international accreditation from the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) and has been declared to have met the criteria set by ACEN. This accreditation will be effective in Spring 2024 and will end in Spring 2029.
ACEN is an educational program accreditation institution that has been recognized by the United States Department of Education (DE) and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). ACEN assesses study programs through 4 strict stages including self-study reports, site visit, evaluation review panel, and board of commissioners’ decision.
ACEN examines the advantages of the Nursing Study Program FK-KMK UGM, including community-based development programs as part of community service. Nursing students of FK-KMK UGM collaborate with students from other study programs such as medicine and nutrition to improve interprofessional collaboration. Dedication to improving community welfare and providing direct education on equality, equity, and inclusion are the strengths of this program.
Nursing Study Program FK-KMK also has an extraordinary achievement in producing quality nurse graduates. The pass rate of the Indonesian Nurse Competency Examination (UKNI) in the Nursing Study Program FK-KMK reached 99% and more than 70% of students completed their studies on time. This high pass rate is part of the excellence of the study program.
This achievement is part of the efforts of FK-KMK UGM, especially the Nursing Study Program, in creating a quality learning environment and producing the best graduates to be able to contribute to public health. This is in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially SDG 3 on Good Health and Well-Being and SDG 4 on Quality Education. (Reporter:Fauziah Nurhasanah).
