FK-KMK UGM Lecturer Participates in ISCoD 2025 International Dermatology Symposium

Staff of the Department of Dermatology and Venereology, Faculty of Medicine, Public Health, and Nursing (FK-KMK) UGM, dr. Flandiana Yogianti, Ph.D., Sp.D.V.E., appeared as guest speaker at the International Scientific Meeting on Cosmetic Dermatology (ISCoD) 2025 held on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at the Sheraton Grand Jakarta Gandaria City Hotel. This event was organized by the Indonesian Society of Skin and Gender Specialists (PEROSKI) through the Indonesian Cosmetic Dermatology Study Group (KSDKI).

This year’s ISCoD symposium carries the theme “Global Perspectives in Cosmetic Dermatology: Challenges and Solutions Across Border” and serves as a platform to discuss the latest challenges and innovations in the field of cosmetic dermatology, including laser technology, topical therapies, and multidisciplinary approaches in medical aesthetics.

In her presentation, dr. Flandiana presented the topic “What’s New in Photoprotection?”, which reviewed the latest developments in protecting the skin from ultraviolet exposure. She highlighted innovations in active ingredients, sunscreen formulations, and holistic approaches to photoprotection that are increasingly relevant as people become more aware of skin health and environmental impacts.

Flandiana’s participation as a speaker in this scientific forum emphasizes the active role of FK-KMK UGM in disseminating the latest medical science and strengthening the institution’s contribution to the global network of sin health science. In addition, it is also in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially SDG 3: Healthy and Prosperous Life through skin health promotion, SDG 4: Quality Education by disseminating research-based knowledge to the health worker community.

This activity is also line with SDG 5: Gender Equality, and SDG 17: Partnership to Achieve Goals.
