FK-KMK UGM Lecturer Attends GA²LEN ADCARE Allergy School in Malaysia

Head of the Department of Dermatology and Venereology (DV), Faculty of Medicine, Public Health, and Nursing (FK-KMK) at Gadjah Mada University, Prof. Dr. med. dr. Retno Danarti, Sp.D.V.E., Subsp.D.A, attended the international event titled GA²LEN ADCARE Allergy School, held on Saturday and Sunday, April 12–13, 2025, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Head of the Department of Dermatology and Venereology (DV), Faculty of Medicine, Public Health, and Nursing (FK-KMK) at Gadjah Mada University, Prof. Dr. med. dr. Retno Danarti, Sp.D.V.E., Subsp.D.A, attended the international event titled GA²LEN ADCARE Allergy School, held on Saturday and Sunday, April 12–13, 2025, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This event was a collaboration between the Global Allergy and Asthma European Network (GA²LEN) and the Malaysian Society of Allergy & Immunology.

In the forum, Prof. Retno not only represented FK-KMK UGM, but also attended as representative of the Indonesian Dermatology and Venerology Association (PERDOSKI) in her capacity as Chair of the Indonesian Pediatric Dermatology Study. GA²LEN ADCARE Allergy School is an international networking event designed to enhance understanding and management of atopic dermatitis, a chronic skin condition requiring a multidisciplinary approach.

This activity includes discussions, workshops, and in-depth interactive learning sessions. One of the important agendas opportunities for harmonizing therapeutic approaches across various healthcare systems. Participation in this activity aligns with the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, particularly in the areas of education and research. Additionally, this activity supports the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals , especially Good Health and Well-being and also Quality Education.

Through active involvement in international activities such as this, FK-KMK UGM has the potential to collaborate with various parties, in line with Partnerships for the Goals and is expected to encourage improvement in the quality of skin health services.
