FK-KMK UGM has carried out several partnerships with Roche, one of which is in combating diabetes complications which is one of the causes of blindness in Indonesia due to diabetic retinopathy. Through joint research and health programs, FK-KMK UGM and Roche hope to contribute to reducing the number of these complications.

This partnership is running well thanks to the shared vision between the two institutions and has developed naturally, indicating that FK-KMK UGM and Roche have a strong commitment to improving the quality of health services in Indonesia.

“We realized that this partnership, this collaboration, with the spirit that we are having will allow us to improve as we move. We go create together, we look at the best solution, and what are the specific challenges,” explained Dr. Ait-Allah Mejri.

This partnership is also an effort to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals or SDGs, especially SDG 17 on Partnerships to Achieve the Goals and SDG 3 on Healthy and Prosperous Lives. Achieving significant progress in improving health services can be achieved through collaboration and strategic partnerships across sectors.
