Title/course offered: Dermatology and Venereology
Overview:  Dermatology and venereology has  divisions (general dermatology, dermatoallergology and autoimmune, tropical dermatology, pediatric dermatology, oncology and dermatology surgery, cosmetic dermatology, and venereology.

The leading service currently include  general dermatology, dermatoallergology and autoimmune, tropical dermatology and venerology.

Objective

General purpose:  To enrich student’s knowledge about general dermatology

Special purpose:

·         To explain dermatology and venereology based on students’ specific interest in particular division of dermatology and venereology.

·         To demonstrate how to diagnose, manage and educate patients with  dermatologic/ venereal diseases.

Periode:

Two weeks

Activities:

·         Student Introduction

·         Attending regular scientific presentations

·         Attending lectures on pediatrics according to division of the interest to student

·         Discussion with field supervisor as scheduled according to the divisions  of the interest to student

·         Involvement in Inpatient and outpatient clinical rotation

·         Visit to emergency ward

·         Evaluation and review at the end of the programme by supervisor or PIC.

Lectures:

Diagnosis and management according to subdivisions that of the interest to student

Practical sessions:

Observe duty in polyclinic and ward

Tutorial:

Case discussion according to divisions of the interest to student

Measurable learning oucome:

Ability to perform history taking, physical examination, and clinical reasoning in patients with skin diseases
