FK-KMK UGM. In order to plan the opening of the Anatomical Pathology Subspecialty Medical Education Study Program, a meeting was conducted to discuss the opening of the new study program on Friday (19/07) at the Tahir Building, Faculty of Medicine, Public Health and Nursing (FK-KMK) Gadjah Mada University (UGM).

At this meeting, academic texts were discussed to support the opening of the study program. The academic manuscript will later be submitted to the university senate.
It is the first subspecialty education study program in the field of anatomical pathology in Indonesia. With the resources owned by FK-KMK UGM, it is hoped that this study program can accommodate the interests of specialist doctors to continue more specific studies, especially in the field of anatomical pathology.
Not only will it enrich educational options for doctors, it is hoped that the plan to open this study program will also increase contributions to research and health services in Indonesia. Thus, this step is an important part of FK-KMK UGM’s efforts to continue to innovate and advance medical education in the country.
This plan is in line with efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially SDGs number 3 concerning Healthy and Prosperous Lives and number 4 concerning Quality Education. Through more specific education, it is hoped that this program can contribute to increasing the capacity of human resources in the health sector. (Fauziah).
