Student admission at Faculty of Medicine, Public Health, and Nursing Universitas Gadjah Mada conducted in accordance with university admission procedure. Which it divided into 2 types of admission, new students and senior students’ admission. Student admission in Universitas Gadjah Mada conducted after students pay their tuition in appointed bank. Then students can register and input courses in Study Plan Card (KRS) online through simaster.ugm.ac.id within certain time and schedules.
New Students Admission
Rules and requirements of new students’ admission has been regulated particularly and could be access through https://um.ugm.ac.id/.
Student Re-admission
- For student who is not leaved of study, the procedure is the same with the ones explained above.
- For student who has been leaved, student has to write “reactivate application letter “ to Dean of Faculty of Medicine, Public Health, and Nursing Universitas Gadjah Mada to continue their study. This letter will be sent and processed at Directorate of Education and Teaching in the University. After re-active permission letter being issued, student could pay their tuition and input their courses in Study Plan Card (KRS) online.
- For students who want to postpone profession education phase (clinical rotation), and in that semester will retake 1 block or who has not examined for skripsi yet, then the student should apply for tuition payment abatement according to Rector Decree number 756/UN 1.P/ SK/HUKOR/2017. Requirements and regulations regarding the application of tuition payment abatement could be ask at Academic section office Faculty of Medicine, Public Health, and Nursing Universitas Gadjah Mada and could be submited online.
- For student who has graduated from undergraduate and will continue to profession education phase will pay full tuition similar as in the last semester of undergraduate Program.
- For students who have completed profession education phase and passed pre-Judicium but has not inaugurated as a doctor, do not have to pay tuition for that semester.
- For BIDIKMISI and DIKTI Affirmation scholarship awardee (ADIK).
Students that are also awardee of BIDIKMISI and ADIK, tuition has been PAID OFF and for re-admission, these students have to access https://ditmawa.simaster.ugm.ac.id.
CONSEQUENCE FOR TARDINESS IN PAYING TUITION FEE
For students who did not pay their tuition according to certain schedule, the students’ status will be called “inactive” from the system so that the students could not pay their tuition and therefore, students could not input courses to Study Plan Card (KRS). In this case, if students still want to continue their study at next semester they have to submit a request letter to the Dean of Faculty of Medicine, Public Health, and Nursing Universitas Gadjah Mada to be activated and their name shown in system. The request letter has to incorporate reason of tardiness, which this letter has to comprises sign from students’ parents. If the students are tardy in paying tuition fee until learning activity has been started, then the student has to apply for taking “academic leave of study” in this semester and could not attend all academic activities in that semester.
POSTPONE, ADJUSTMENT, AND DECREASE TUITION FEE
According to Rector decree number 527/UN1.P/SK/ HUKOR/2016, student has to appeal for postponement of paying tuition fee if the students fulfill one of the requirements
- At the period of paying tuition fee, one of the main family members of students (father, mother, or siblings) is died. It has to be proven with death certificate.
- Students are carrying out of duties from the state or Universitas Gadjah Mada. It has to be proven with affidavit / letter of assignment from Rector/Dean of Faculty of Medicine, Public Health, and Nursing Universitas Gadjah Mada.
- Calamity, proven by written statement from RT/RW and Kelurahan (Village/Subdistrict).
- For scholarship awardee has to be proven with legal written statement from scholarship institution stated that tuition will be pay outside of schedule.
Application for postponement of paying tuition /UKT has to be submitted to Dean of Faculty of Medicine, Public Health, and Nursing Universitas Gadjah Mada attached with supporting evidence. For application of tuition adjustment, it will be based on Rector decree number
527/UN1.P/SK/ HUKOR/2016 which tuition fee adjustment could be implement if:
- There are mistakes in inputting family data at the time the students register as Universitas Gadjah Mada new students, or
- There are changes in parents/custodian of students that influence ability to pay for tuition.
Application regarding adjustment of tuition has to be submit to Dean of Faculty of Medicine, Public Health, and Nursing Universitas Gadjah Mada Dekan attached with proof. - Academic leave of study could only be taken by students who has passed 2 years evaluation (4 semester) and has written permission from dean or rector.
- Students could not take academic leave of study before evaluation of the initial 4 semester. If students have certain reasons (ex: pregnant/giving birth, sick and must be hospitalized) and rector gave permission for students to take academic leave of study, but the academic leave of study will still be counted as an active study period and used as a basis for calculations in the evaluation.
- Academic leave of study could be taken maximum 2 semester.
- Academic leave of study period will not be counted as active study period.
Special leave outside of academic leave
In special conditions (eg sick and the students need treatment or long-term care), students are allowed to apply for special leave. Submit a submission letter to the head of study program which will be reported to the dean of FK-KMK. The time required on this special leave is calculated as the student’s study period.
RE-REGISTRATION AFTER ACADEMIC LEAVE OF STUDY
Student who wants to get back to study in university after taking academic leave of study has to go through these steps:
- Submit a college active application letter to dean (for students who previously got permission of taking academic leave of study from dean) or to rector (for students who previously got permission of taking academic leave of study from rector). College active application letter has to be submitted maximum 1 month before new semester begin.
- Re-register by submitting college active application letter and Student Card to Directorate of Education and Teaching Universitas Gadjah Mada and pay tuition fee.

- Male and female students are not allowed to dye their hair.
- For students who wear Muslim clothing, the face must be visible, it is not allowed to wear a face covering (veil).
- Do not use piercing (earrings in not in the earlobe).
- Male students are not allowed to wear earrings.
